dry water
eric s. nylund

An interesting, strange book about a man with psychic premonitions who gets involved in a power struggle between two urban sorcerors in the Arizona desert. One rules life. One rules death. Both want to change history, using the miraculous, mythological Dry Water--a substance that will give them access to the river of time.

in the stacks: short stories about libraries and librarians
michael cart, ed.

How can a librarian resist a book like this? A varied mix of stories from such writers as Alice Munro, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Jorge Luis Borges.
